Angel Cards are a pack of 40-60 oracle cards, full of inspirational words and phrases inspired by angels themselves. They tap into Angelic presence to give a person insight into their career, relationship or finances whilst giving them comforting guidance from their angels or guides. Angel Cards tend to give a more positive, comforting reading than a Tarot spread although this doesn’t mean that they won’t tell you what you need to hear.

History

It isn’t known exactly when Angel Cards became popular as a method of divination, although it is believed their history stemmed from the Tarot. It is known that Angel Cards were popular in the 19^th Century, as different types of oracle cards were popularised in France by Marie Anne Adelaide Lenormand. Humans have been aware of angelic presence throughout history, and angels are often characterised as guiding, protecting influences, acting as a messenger between heaven and earth. Therefore it makes sense that the aim of Angel Cards is to gently guide and protect people along their life journey.

Methods of Reading

When reading Angel Cards, a psychic will usually ask the cards to reveal information about a given question. You should not expect the cards to give you a simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer, as readings are there to guide you in the right direction. Examples of questions you could ask include things like:

How can I improve my relationship with my boss?
Will I find love this year?
What should I be focusing on?

The reader will shuffle the Angel Cards, then spread them out on the table. A reading is performed when certain cards are chosen from the pack and laid out in a spread.

This could be a single card which you feel strongly drawn towards, a three card spread (representing past, present and future), a general 3 or 4 card reading or a 9 card cross spread.

The psychic will then study the messages on the cards which you have chosen whilst they are guided by their connection with the angels to understand how the card relates to the question being asked. Your job is simply to listen to what the reader is telling you, keep an open mind and accept the messages as they come to you.
