In astronomy, a Gibbous Moon is seen around 10-14 days after the New Moon. A Gibbous Moon can be identified by its almost full appearance in the sky. Where more than half of the moon is illuminated by direct sunlight, and less than half is in shadow. The illuminated fraction of the moon’s surface will appear to grow in the sky until it is a fully lit Full Moon.
Reflect & Adjust
The appearance of the Gibbous Moon in the sky represents a calm time of reflection and adjustment. The next seven days have a strong forward motion. If you planted seeds/set goals during the New Moon then you should definitely be moving towards a final result now. This is a good time to slow down and take time out to analyse and reflect on what you have achieved since the New Moon. This may mean that you have to adjust your expectations and fine-tune the goals you have set, but that’s ok. It will be easy to accommodate and adapt during this time.
If you set a certain goal (such as losing weight) during the New Moon then it’s likely that you will have started seeing some results by now. They might not be the end results you imagined, but you are moving towards them.
If you’re in a relationship during the Gibbous Moon then you may have to adjust your needs to the needs of your partner around this time. For example, if you are pushing to move in together but discover your partner isn’t quite ready yet. Then you’ll need to accept that you may not be able to fulfil your original intentions. The Gibbous Moon is not particularly favoured for the start of a new relationship. If you’re trying to meet someone during this phase, prepare yourself for frustration. You will not receive everything you asked for by the Gibbous Moon.
During a Gibbous Moon, the moon is almost half full, and so is the energy available to us. This is a great time to incorporate lunar energy into your meditation and access intuitive guidance. Use meditation to reflect on your wish list and visualise fulfilment. By doing this you could potentially increase your ability to receive what you intended.
