One of the simplest ways to invite flower healing into your life is to choose a flower and put its petals into a warm bath. This ritual has been used by many cultures for generations to provide restoring energy.
By the Sea
If you live near the sea or are holidaying near water in August – then why not take some flowers with you. In this ritual, you would cast the petals into the water as you remember those that have passed over. It is a very gentle way to remember loved ones, and the rolling sea reminds you of the cycle of life.
Flower Pressing
Pressing flowers has become a bit of a lost art, but it is worth doing so that you can carry a dried flower with meaning with you. Perhaps embedded into a piece of jewellery or hair decoration or just as a bookmark or sandwiched between a photo in your wallet. These sorts of talismans, allow you to draw on their protective energy when needed.
Goals
If you are struggling with certain goals or in achieving your dreams, then using particular flowers to reinforce your desires can be helpful. You might want to arrange the blooms in a vase, the arranging process can be quite restorative and at the end, you will see the accumulation of your hard work – a metaphor for your achievements if your goals are met.
Flower Connections
You can even get friends or family involved. If you are having a gathering, ask people to bring a flower from their own garden, or something that speaks to them from the shops or florist. Place the flowers in water whilst you have fun and enjoy yourselves. In the end, each takes home a different flower than you bought. This way you will be sharing your connections and good energies with each other.
Outside of summer, you could still enjoy these rituals by using flower essences, essential oils or incense.
