The New Year is a perfect time to start a fresh, leaving all regrets behind and starting a new chapter in our lives. If you want 2012 to be a successful year for you and your family then read on, and see how you can start the year in a positive way!

1 Set goals of what you want to achieve – Setting goals will help you stick to your target, and keep you focused on what you are trying to achieve. For example if you are wanting to bring the family closer together then set aside specific time to spend with them each week. Make sure you note the progress you are making along the way to keep you motivated and you’ll find it a whole lot easier to reach your final goal!

2 Map out a timescale – When making resolutions or attempting to change habits, we often expect too much of ourselves and can end up being disappointed. Make sure that you set yourself a realistic timeframe to achieve whatever it is you want to do. Don’t take on too much at once, you won’t be able to change things overnight!

3 Plan your finances – Many families will struggle financially over the next year, however this doesn’t have to rule your life if you don’t let it. Planning and recording all your finances can take a lot of the stress out of life, and will allow you to see exactly how much you have to spend each month. You may even find that you identify things you can cut back on, saving you valuable pennies

4 Learn something new as a family – As a family you are likely to have similar interests and hobbies, and taking up something new together can bring you closer together and build a stronger relationship with each other. You may find that a new sport or activity takes the stress of family life away and allows you to create some valuable memories

5 Most of all remember to have fun together! Many families get stuck in the same routines of sitting at home watching television or doing their own separate things at home, and these things can affect the amount you communicate. Try doing something that you can all enjoy, whether you are stuck indoors or going out - you may find you start getting on a lot better than before!!

Finally we would just like to say a big thank you for being with Psychic Light in 2011, we hope you have a lovely Christmas and a happy New Year. We will be here to support you through 2012, whatever your future holds.

Christmas is the most romantic time of year and whatever you have planned, spending time with a loved one can make the holiday extra special. Many of us get so caught up entertaining family and friends we can often end up forgetting the most important person in our lives! These tips can make sure you make the Christmas holiday’s perfect for both you and your partner!

Happy Families

Happy families are ideal for Christmas and organising something simple that brings you all together can create a high spirited occasion for both you and your partner’s relatives. Christmas meals and exchanging gifts are guaranteed to bring joy, and going shopping with your partner for the essentials can bring you closer together and shares the responsibility equally, meaning no arguments! When the day comes, good food and a relaxed atmosphere will ensure everyone stays in good spirits and you don’t get overwhelmed with things to do.

The Perfect Gift

Giving your loved one the perfect gift is essential. Making sure you plan in advance what to get and budgeting right will allow you to give your partner something to value and cherish as well as ensuring you don’t break the bank. Don’t forget to get them something that they want, rather than something you would like them to have. The gift you decide to get largely depends on where you are in your relationship and his or her likes and dislikes. You could even try making something for your partner for an extra personal touch. If you are in a committed, long term relationship getting your partner tickets to a romantic holiday destination could make the occasion even more special.

Preparation

Make sure you are prepared for Christmas day, and don’t allow financial strains or family parties to get you overwhelmed. Try and relax and don’t forget to remind your partner how much they mean to you this Christmas!

Try not to put too much pressure on everything being perfect – having time together with your loved one and the people you love and care about is the most important thing.

Remember that if you feel the need to release the pressure that Christmas can bring, we’re here for you throughout the festive period. Give one of our experienced professional psychics a call, talk things through and light up Christmas for you and your loved one.
